The Job
We’re looking for a Director of Marketing & Sales to join our team in Woodland, CA and help more people access clean, reliable water—without relying on fossil fuels or costly infrastructure. Through our main brands, RPS Solar Pumps and RPS Water Pumps, we empower customers with DIY ready products, industry-leading support, and innovative technology.
What You’ll Do:
- Own and scale our revenue-driving sales and marketing engine, setting the vision, multi-year roadmap, and the day to day game plan to hit our revenue goals.
- Incorporate continuous process improvement methodologies at all levels of sales and marketing to be sure we are adapting quickly from feedback, inside and outside market changes.
- Navigate inventory, fulfillment considerations, seasonality and customer support feedback loops in a physical product environment.
- Keep your eyes on the numbers (forecasts, funnel, ROI), but also on the people (customers, team, partners).
- Lead, coach and scale multi-disciplinary sales and marketing teams, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and developing managers into strong people leaders.
- Have led teams through growth and change, including organizational design, role clarity and standardizing processes as the company scaled.
- Build unforgettable campaigns for solar and AC water pumps.
- Oversee digital, social, SEO, ads, trade shows, and all the ways we reach our people.
- Expand business development efforts to new markets with existing products and new hires over time
- Identify opportunities and establish new sales channels / channel partnerships.
- Track what’s working, scrap what’s not and always be experimenting.
- Drive sales enablement improvements to equip sales team with better and better tools and resources, adjusting to needs and the voice of the customer
- Partner with our stellar customer service and operations team to keep customers happy long after the sale.

You might be a great fit if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business or related field; Masters degree preferred.
- 8 years of experience growing revenue (both marketing and sales).
- Has helped scale a start-up or early stage company through meaningful growth (team size, revenue, or operational complexity), and understands when to build structure vs. when to stay scrappy.
- Proven track record of building growth across multiple brands or product lines and experience with building new channels and channel partnerships..
- Deep experience leading ecommerce-driven, B2C growth for tangible consumer products including ownership of conversion, acquisition, retention and customer lifetime value.
- A leader who inspires but isn’t afraid to hop on a sales call or write a campaign headline.
- Can troubleshoot creatively and think like a customer
- Believe in rural resilience and clean technology

We believe in rewarding work that matters. Compensation for this role is $160,000 – $200,000 annually, depending on experience.
