A Day in the LifeStart your shift by setting up and safely operating precision manufacturing equipment. You’ll produce parts held to exceptionally tight tolerances, then verify quality using precision gauges and measurement tools. Throughout your day, you’ll follow proven procedures for safety, quality, and production while steadily expanding your technical know‑how with mentoring from experienced machinists.
What You’ll Do- Master safe machine operation through comprehensive, fully paid, hands-on instruction.
- Manufacture high-precision aerospace components held to exacting tolerances.
- Inspect work with precision measuring instruments to confirm specifications.
- Follow established quality, safety, and manufacturing standards as your skills grow.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Solid basic math skills and clear communication.
- Consistent attendance, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
- Mechanical interest or background in hands-on areas like manufacturing, engineering, automotive, or construction.
- Willingness to learn and to work flexible shifts after training.
Training typically occurs on 1st Shift with dedicated, on-the-job coaching from seasoned machinists before you move to your assigned shift.
- 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
- 3rd Shift: 11:30 PM – 7:00 AM
