The Purchasing Assistant supports the Purchasing Department with day-to-day operations, including handling purchase requests, processing POs, and assisting with vendor management and system data entry. This role is essential in ensuring accurate purchasing practices and supporting smooth departmental operations.
Duties and Responsibilities

Generate purchase orders and respond to PO-related inquiries

Assist with vendor research and data input for Viewpoint implementation

Review, code, and approve invoices for PO-related items in Viewpoint

Forward approved invoices to Accounts Payable

Ensure compliance with company purchasing procedures
- Maintain safety and follow all company policies and expectations

High School Diploma or GED

1 year of experience in a purchasing or administrative role
