RPM Staffing is seeking experience Machine Operators in Sherman, TX!
Position Summary
Operate one Stake Flag machine to meet production and quality standards while minimizing downtime and scrap. Troubleshoot minor machine issues, escalate complex problems to the Stake Flag Pod Technician, and ensure safe, efficient production of stake flags.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor one Stake Flag machine to achieve production and quality goals.
- Troubleshoot minor machine issues and escalate as needed.
- Load raw materials, supplies, and package finished products according to shop order specifications.
- Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and palletizing of finished products.
- Perform and support First Article Inspections (FAIs) during machine changeovers.
- Conduct quality checks and accurately record production and quality data.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Communicate material needs, quality concerns, safety issues, and improvement opportunities to supervisors and support teams.
Qualifications
- Strong safety awareness and attendance record.
- Good problem-solving, communication, and basic math skills.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating day/night shifts.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Understanding of production schedules, quality standards, and productivity goals.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, grasping, and lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to work in environments with occasional dust, temperature fluctuations, and mild chemical exposure.
- Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred.
Training
Training consists of online safety, quality, and production courses combined with hands-on instruction from experienced operators and technicians. Typical training duration is approximately one month.
