What are the responsibilities and job description for the Driving Instructor position at RPM Driving School?
Key Responsibilities
- Behind-the-Wheel Instruction: Conduct one-on-one driving lessons in company vehicles, adapting teaching techniques to accommodate nervous or beginner drivers.
- Road Test Preparation: Guide students through key exam maneuvers, including parallel parking, three-point turns, lane changes, and proper observation techniques.
- Curriculum & Safety Delivery: Instruct students on NYS traffic laws, defensive driving principles, road signs, and safe vehicle operation under diverse road and weather conditions.
- Student Evaluations: Provide constructive feedback after each lesson, track student progress, and maintain clear records of completed instructional hours.
- Vehicle Maintenance & Safety: Perform pre-drive safety inspections of company dual-control vehicles and report any maintenance issues promptly.
Pay: $20.00 per hour

- Do you have a clean driving record with no history of serious moving violations, suspensions, or convictions for driving under the influence (DUI/DWI) or vehicular offenses?
- Many of our students are non-native English speakers or learning English. Are you comfortable and patient when teaching students who may have a language barrier?
