Role Description Service Billing & Collections

If you enjoy working with customers as part of a team, and have a strong work ethic, this may be the right job for you. Your work day includes billing, managing deposit billing and payments, and collections for 100 work orders every month. You will be working closely with our technicians, yacht owners and captains, in addition the rest of our company team. You will be working with CDK Software, along with Excel to manage schedules. Accounting knowledge is required, as you will also be posting journal entries.
Preference given to individuals with a proven track record in a similar role.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills to review aging reports, reconcile accounts, and identify discrepancies.
- Foundational knowledge of finance and accounting principles related to accounts receivable.
- Clear and professional communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams.
- Experience with debt collection, including polite but firm follow-up on overdue accounts.
- Proficiency in invoicing processes and using accounting or ERP systems to manage receivables.
- High level of accuracy, organization, and time management.
- Ability to work on-site full time in Fort Lauderdale, FL and collaborate with other departments.
- Prior experience in accounts receivable, collections, or bookkeeping; experience in service or marine industry is a plus.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with accounting software. CDK Software experience a plus.
- Relevant coursework or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent practical experience.
