Job Description
RPM Crushers & Screens is seeking an experienced and motivated Aggregate Equipment Service Technician to join our growing team in Lakeland, FL. This position is ideal for a skilled technician with hands-on experience servicing and maintaining aggregate equipment including crushers, screens, conveyors, shredders, and other heavy machinery used in mining, demolition, recycling, and aggregate processing operations.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on aggregate processing equipment including crushers, screens, conveyors, feeders, and shredders.
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and scheduled service on a variety of aggregate and recycling equipment.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and determine effective repair solutions using diagnostic tools and technical resources.
- Ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently to minimize downtime and maximize production.
- Complete detailed service reports documenting inspections, repairs performed, and parts used.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding equipment issues, repair recommendations, and job progress.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while following all company safety policies and industry regulations.
- Stay current on new equipment technology, service techniques, and industry best practices.
- Travel to customer job sites as needed throughout Florida and surrounding areas.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification in diesel, heavy equipment, or aggregate machinery preferred.
- Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic or service technician, preferably with aggregate, recycling, or crushing and screening equipment.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and service documentation.
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards and procedures in the aggregate or construction industry.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL is a plus.
- Willingness to travel as required.
