Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1 years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.An opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Intake Technician to support a retail oncology pharmacy environment. This role focuses on creating patient profiles and processing orders efficiently from electronic prescription and fax queues to ensure smooth pharmacy operations and patient care.Responsibilities include:Creating and managing patient profiles accurately.Processing incoming orders and prescription requests within designated timeframes.Handling refill prescription requests and managing incoming documents from the fax server.Maintaining prescription files and entering orders into the computer system.Desired Experience and Qualifications:Pharmacy technician experience is required.Prior experience in pharmacy intake is highly preferred.Must be a registered pharmacy technician in the state of practice.PTCB national certification is preferred to validate proficiency and commitment to the profession.Schedule:Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 7:30 PM (8-hour shifts).This is a contract-to-hire position based in New Hyde Park, NY, with an anticipated duration of approximately 18 weeks before direct hire consideration.This role offers the chance to work in a specialized oncology pharmacy setting, gaining experience in a focused therapeutic area with potential for ongoing employment.
