Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.A pharmacy technician role is available on a contract-to-hire basis at a closed-door long-term care facility in Aurora, IL. This position involves day shift hours with a focus on production pharmacy functions, supporting the preparation and distribution of medications to residents efficiently and accurately.Key Responsibilities: Prepare medications in appropriate packaging such as blister packs and unit doses, ensuring timely delivery to residents. Assist with ordering, receiving, and stocking medications while monitoring proper storage and expiration dates. Maintain accurate patient and medication records to ensure compliance with facility protocols. Schedule: Monday through Friday with shift options: 6:00am 2:30pm, 7:00am 3:30pm, or 8:00am 4:30pm. Weekend work on a rotating basis.Qualifications and Experience: Valid Illinois Pharmacy Technician license is required. Minimum of one year of recent pharmacy technician experience, preferably in a production or LTC setting. Familiarity with pharmacy software systems is a plus; training on Frameworks software will be provided. This role offers the opportunity to work in a structured environment serving long-term care residents with approximately 600 prescriptions processed daily.
