A Specialty Compounding Pharmacy is seeking a skilled Sterile Compounding Pharmacist to join their team in Kennett Square, PA. This contract-to-hire position spans 13 weeks and offers the opportunity to engage in advanced compounding practices within a well-established facility.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare sterile and non-sterile compounded medications accurately following master formula worksheets.
- Implement and adhere to standard operating procedures and policies to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain compliance with USP guidelines and applicable state and federal regulations governing sterile compounding.
- Perform proper cleaning and garbing protocols according to company policies before production.
- Conduct calculations, documentation, and operate production equipment in accordance with policies.
- Utilize aseptic techniques correctly to guarantee the quality, purity, and potency of compounded preparations.
- Conduct quality control tests and inspections to verify accuracy and safety.
- Stay updated on new compounding methods, formulations, and technological advancements.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance compounding pharmacy skills.
Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license required.
- Recent pharmacy experience in a clinical or compounding setting.
- Demonstrated experience with sterile compounding procedures is essential.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- Available shifts include 8:00 AM 4:30 PM, 9:00 AM 5:30 PM, or 10:30 AM 7:00 PM (shift assignment may vary)
