Join a healthcare team in need of experienced inpatient pharmacists to support hospital operations in Madison, WI. This 13-week contract opportunity begins on June 8th and offers a dynamic schedule with a mix of day and evening shifts, working five 8-hour shifts per week with a rotating weekend schedule every third week.
Location: Madison, WI (commitment includes flexible work at a hospital setting in the area)
Schedule/Hours:
- Shift rotation between 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
- Five 8-hour shifts per week
- Rotating every 3rd weekend on call
Responsibilities:
- Perform pharmaceutical care in an inpatient hospital setting
- Utilize expertise in pharmacokinetic dosing, renal dosing, and therapeutic medication monitoring
- Manage drug shortages effectively
- Provide pharmacotherapy management for complex medical cases
- Navigate and document patient care using the EPIC electronic medical records system
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of recent inpatient or acute care pharmacy experience
- Hospital inpatient pharmacy experience required
- Licensed to practice pharmacy in Wisconsin; ACT-10 license holders are eligible
- Proficient in pharmacotherapy and clinical decision making in acute care settings
