Job Description
rPeptide is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our growing team. We are looking for an individual with strong analytical problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a genuine enthusiasm for laboratory work. This position will contribute to our day-to-day activities, laboratory operations, and ongoing development projects.
A primary responsibility for this role is the expression and growth of recombinant molecules in bacteria. Knowledge of recombinant DNA technology is preferred. Following a structured training period, the technician will support production runs, assist with ongoing projects, and collaborate with team members across multiple departments.
The role also includes routine cleaning and maintenance of laboratory equipment, ensuring instruments remain in proper working order and are available for use. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, eager to learn, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team while bringing integrity and positivity to their work and environment.

Primary Responsibilities
- Expression and growth of recombinant molecules in bacterial systems.
- Support and perform regular production projects from start to finish following internal SOPs. This may include transformations, bacterial growths, fermentations, and purification processes to achieve desired product specifications.
- Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of laboratory equipment to ensure instruments remain operational and properly maintained.
- Conduct regular analysis of in-process samples to monitor progress and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Assist in translating small-scale projects into larger-scale production protocols.
- Support manufacturing and development activities for rPeptide products.
- Assist with technical documentation, including SOPs, training records, batch records, and related materials.
- Work closely with team members on product manufacturing, research, and development activities.
- Collaborate with current lab members to achieve results as an effective addition to our team and share projects when needed.
- Generate and deliver clear and concise technical presentations to senior management upon request.

Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Biology, Bioscience, Biotechnology, or other related fields, or relevant work experience.
- 2–5 years of prior professional experience, ideally in a laboratory, manufacturing, or biotechnology setting.
- Able to fill a full-time position of 40 hours a week, 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday.
- Flexibility to occasionally work extended hours when production schedules require it.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping abilities.
- Strong notebook-keeping and documentation skills.
- Patience, kindness, and consideration for other team members.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good computer operation and software skills.

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. Extended hours if needed.

Starting salary will be in the range of $40,000 - $45,000 based on education, experience, and skill set.
