Patient Care Technician (PCT) — PRN Basic Care

Job Overview

We are hiring a dependable and compassionate Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide basic patient care support on a PRN basis in Washington, DC. This is a flexible part-time opportunity for short afternoon shifts, 2–3 days per week. The PCT will assist with routine care needs, promote patient comfort and safety, and communicate any concerns or changes as needed.

Responsibilities

·         Provide basic patient care and personal care assistance during scheduled visits.

·         Assist with activities of daily living such as mobility support, hygiene reminders, toileting assistance, and comfort measures.

·         Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.

·         Provide companionship and respectful support.

·         Follow care instructions and maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.

Requirements

·         Patient Care Technician, CNA, HHA, Medical Assistant, or related caregiving experience preferred.

·         Experience providing basic care in a home care, clinic, assisted living, hospital, or similar setting is a plus.

·         Must be reliable, punctual, compassionate, and professional.

·         Ability to follow instructions and work independently during short visits.

·         Strong communication skills.

·         Current CPR/BLS certification preferred.

·         Must be available for afternoon hours in Washington, DC.

Schedule and Compensation

This is a PRN position for 2–3 days per week, with shifts lasting approximately 2–3 hours in the afternoon. Pay is $50 per hour.
