A global construction services company is adding a senior estimator to its Las Vegas insulation operation.

This is an in-office job at the Las Vegas office, not remote.

You will price commercial building projects (data centers, hospitals, high-rises, and other commercial buildings, plus some semiconductor and cleanroom work) for general contractors and mechanical contractors.

Day to day

• Take off pipe, duct, equipment, and plumbing insulation from plans and specs

• Price HVAC and chilled water piping, jacketing, and duct wrap, material and labor

• Estimate fire-rated and fire-retardant insulation in wall and floor assemblies, firestopping at rated penetrations, and fire-rated grease duct wrap

• Work through addenda and keep your bids current up to bid day

• Write proposals for general contractors and mechanical contractors

• Walk the scope with the customer and defend your number

What gets you hired

• You are estimating commercial mechanical insulation today, on real buildings

• You price fire-rated or fire-retardant insulation, penetration seals, or fire-rated duct wrap as part of your bids

• You are fast in Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, or FastEST

• You live within commuting distance of Las Vegas and work in the office every day

• Data center, cleanroom, or hospital experience is a big plus

• Union labor pricing, and Nevada prevailing wage and certified payroll experience, are big pluses

• A journeyman insulator or field background is a big plus
