What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Mill & Lathe Machinist position at RP Skilled Services?
Responsibilities:
Dayshift hours are 6:00 am – 3:30pm OT as required. 2nd shift is 3:00pm – midnight OT as required.
Prefer experience with rotating parts and split parts.
- Set up and operate CNC mill and lathe machines to perform precision machining operations
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations
- Use hand tools and measuring instruments such as micrometers, bore gauges, and calipers to ensure accuracy of machined parts
- Monitor machine operations to detect any malfunctions or defects
- Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to ensure proper functioning
- Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements
- Need to have experience with rotating machinery and split parts/ bearings and in programming from a print or model using GibbsCam preferably.
- Need to have experience in complete set-up and operating CNC Mills and Lathes preferably HAAS.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in CNC machining and HAAS programming
- Knowledge of plastics injection molding processes
- Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Strong mathematical skills for performing basic calculations
- Experience with Mazatrol programming is a plus
- Ability to operate milling machines and other machining equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Excellent problem-solving skills
