The Shop Technician is responsible for performing in-house diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of rental equipment. This position plays a key role in ensuring that all rental units are serviced, inspected, and ready for safe and reliable use before being delivered to customers or deployed to job sites.
Working primarily in the shop, the technician will handle everything from routine preventative maintenance to complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs. The Shop Technician collaborates closely with the service manager, dispatch, and rental staff to maintain a high-quality fleet and quick turnaround times. This role requires strong technical ability, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on a variety of equipment in the shop
- Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and safety checks on rental fleet equipment
- Prepare machines for rental by ensuring operational readiness, cleanliness, and compliance with safety standards
- Accurately document repairs, inspections, parts usage, and labor in service records and internal systems
- Communicate effectively with service managers and other team members regarding equipment status, parts needs, and job progress
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to all company and OSHA safety standards
- Assist with incoming equipment evaluations and post-rental inspections

Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour
