Dishwasher Job Description
$11-$13/hr plus meal allowance
A dishwasher's job is to maintain kitchen cleanliness by washing dishes, utensils, and cookware, operating dishwashing machines, and ensuring a steady supply of clean items for food service. They also perform related tasks like cleaning kitchen areas, taking out trash, storing deliveries, and sometimes assisting with basic food prep, all while adhering to strict food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:·
Washing & Sanitizing: Scrape, rinse, load, operate, unload dishwashing machines; hand-wash delicate items. ·
Organization & Storage: Sort and store clean dishes, glassware, and utensils in designated areas. ·
Kitchen Maintenance: Keep dishwashing area, floors, walls, and equipment clean, dry, and clutter-free. ·
Trash & Waste Management: Regularly empty and clean trash receptacles and break down boxes. ·
Support Duties: Assist with food prep (chopping, portioning), stock supplies, and help with general kitchen cleaning. ·
Health & Safety: Follow all health, sanitation, and food safety regulations.
