Roylco has a long history of producing educational learning materials for classrooms. We are currently looking for a canidate that can float betwwen our logistics and packaging team . This is a day shift position with three-day weekends! On the job training is provided. Hours will be 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Thursday
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Packer/Shipper to join our logistics team. This role is essential in ensuring that products are accurately packed, efficiently shipped, and delivered on time to our international and domestic customers. The ideal candidate will possess warehouse experience, familiarity with shipping logistics, and proficiency with warehouse management systems, contributing to smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Prepare products for shipment by selecting appropriate packaging materials and ensuring proper labeling
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, to load, unload, and move inventory safely within the warehouse.
- Manage order picking and packing processes to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
- Verify stock levels through stock counting, inventory management, and the use of warehouse distribution techniques; update records accordingly.
- Coordinate shipping logistics by scheduling pickups, preparing shipping documents, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.
- Assist with receiving shipments by inspecting incoming goods for accuracy and quality
- Support inventory control activities including stocking, replenishment, and cycle counts
Qualifications
- Proven warehouse experience with familiarity in shipping & receiving procedures within a distribution environment.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts, pallet jacks.
- Knowledge of shipping logistics, trade compliance, international trade regulations, and e-commerce fulfillment processes.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and order processing.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in stocking, picking & packing activities.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members across various departments involved in order fulfillment.
