JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Three years related experience or education preferred.
- Good Mathematical skills.
- General knowledge of computer software use.
- Valid drivers’ license with good driving record.
- Ability to use personal transportation is preferred.
- Able to handle confidential materials and detailed reports.
- Able to make decisions and communicate those decisions effectively.
- Able to organize and assist in supervising departmental activities while effectively motivating employees.
- Able to organize and assist in supervising personnel of varied skill levels to effectively reach production goals.
- Able to assist in coordinating departmental operations with those of other departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with the general operation of the Lebanon Distribution Center.
- Assist in ensuring the correct ordering procedures are followed, as well as the proper unpacking, care and handling of all products received in the distribution center.
- As directed, ensure the timely communication, delivery and invoicing to the retail stores of all wholesale inventory available.
- Assist in maintaining the warehouse, greenhouse and dock areas in accordance with SOP.
- Provide daily/weekly/monthly assistance with computer system in the areas of (but not limited to): payables, entering orders, invoicing retail locations, EOM procedures and system maintenance
- Control “waste” of product, including plant materials, through proper ordering, handling, dating, and rotation procedures, as needed and directed.
- Help control costs by keeping inventory at prescribed levels, without creating backorder problems for the retail locations.
- Help supervise and assist with the unloading, unpacking, and storage of incoming product – in addition to pulling orders for the retail locations as needed.
- Ensure top quality merchandise is delivered to the retail locations by helping inspect incoming and departing products/shipments.
- Develop skill to be able to place orders to supply the retail chain of hard goods and fresh floral products
- Assist with the company’s safety goals and monitor employee compliance with safety standards.
- Travel to retail locations to work when needed.
- Other periodic duties that may be unique or specific to the success of the Wholesale Distribution Center as assigned.
