Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing a welcoming atmosphere.
- Manage incoming calls and inquiries, directing them to the appropriate personnel.
- Schedule appointments and maintain the office calendar efficiently.
- Handle medical records with confidentiality and accuracy.
- Perform documentation review to ensure compliance with office policies.
- Utilize Practice Works software and Open Dental for patient management and record keeping.
- Assist with 10 key typing for data entry tasks as needed.
- Provide customer service support to patients regarding their inquiries about services, verifying insurance benefits, and billing services rendered daily.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow within the office.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dental office setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical records management and Medicare regulations is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and professional appearance.
- Proficient in office software applications; experience with Practice Works or Open Dental is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
