- Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to keep floors and surfaces immaculate.
- Handle and apply floor cleaning chemicals safely for tasks such as floor scrubbing, waxing, buffing, and refinishing to restore shine and durability.
- Operate various cleaning equipment like floor buffers, polishers, carpet cleaners, and floor scrubbers to achieve professional results.
- Conduct detailed floor care routines including stripping, sealing, waxing, polishing, and refinishing to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Manage chemical agent handling with strict adherence to safety protocols to ensure safe use of cleaning agents such as floor cleaning chemicals.
- Lift heavy objects safely during janitorial tasks or when moving equipment and supplies through proper manual handling techniques.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to client requests and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services with knowledge of janitorial procedures.
- Skilled in floor scrubbing, buffing, waxing, and refinishing techniques for various flooring types including tile, vinyl, carpet, and hardwood.
- Proficient in handling cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, carpet extractors, and floor scrubbers.
- Familiarity with chemical agents used in environmental services and the ability to handle them safely while following health regulations.
- Strong manual handling skills for heavy lifting of furniture or equipment without risking injury.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness in cleaning tasks.
