Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming, to maintain a pristine appearance.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, offices, hallways, by disinfecting surfaces and restocking supplies.
- Operate janitorial equipment such as vacuums efficiently and safely.
- Follow established environmental services protocols to ensure eco-friendly practices are upheld during all cleaning activities.
- Identify areas needing special attention or repair and report maintenance issues promptly to supervisors.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines at all times to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with regulations.
Experience
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or institutional settings is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with various cleaning techniques including floor care, carpet cleaning, buffing, and general sanitation procedures.
- Knowledge of environmental services standards and best practices for maintaining hygienic environments.
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery safely and effectively with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.
