Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment
- Maintain floors through sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to ensure a pristine appearance
- Handle trash removal and recycling duties efficiently across all designated areas
- Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards and report them promptly
- Assist with light custodial tasks such as window washing, dusting, and surface sanitation
- Support facilities maintenance activities including minor repairs or adjustments as needed
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning procedures to ensure a secure environment for everyone
Experience
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings preferred
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, and sealing surfaces
- Experience with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies is advantageous
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to follow safety guidelines diligently and handle cleaning chemicals responsibly
- Restock cleaning supplies and maintain inventory
