What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2nd Shift Nondestructive Inspector position at Royal?
Nondestructive Inspectors perform A- and C-Scan inspections on parts to ensure a variety of composite parts to verify that parts meet all customer requirements, specifically delaminating, voids, porosity, and FOD in the laminate. NDI also visually inspects parts for workmanship defaults as well as dimensional conformances.
Work Qualifications:
- Formal Education: NDI training preferred. Willing to provide training for someone with base knowledge in Quality.
- Certificates and Licenses: Level I, Level II, or Level III NDI Inspection Certification must be obtained and maintained.
Job Duties:
- Perform A- and C-Scan inspections on composite parts and operate A- and C-Scan equipment
- Develop scan plans and complete inspection reports
- Complete rework instructions for production employees
- Visually inspect composite parts to ensure dimensional conformances
- Ensure traceability of all inspected parts using ERP system, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word
- Calibrate machines and transducer, when needed, and clean and maintain equipment
Hours and Compensation:
Base wage will vary based on skillset and education. Employees working 2nd shift hours quality for a 10% shift differential.
Standard work hours to be agreed upon between candidate and supervisor. Employee must maintain a consistent schedule. Some training will need to take place during 1st shift hours, and employee will receive shift differential for all training time.
