We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a cook at our Sumner, WA location.

Schedule: Thursday - Sunday 7am - 7pm

The Cook will be responsible for maintaining all aspects of culinary direction, menus, service, food safety, sanitation, and compliance with all applicable laws in all Royal Life Center facilities to include responsible for a consistent, guest-centered experience, including maintaining recipe selection, presentation and cleanliness as well as diet restrictions and specialty diets. The cook will be responsible for taking inventory of their products and placing an order twice a week through their provider.

EDUCATION: High school degree preferred

EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 2 years prior to kitchen experience. Specific experience with serving large populations preferred.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Food Handlers Certification/CPR Certification

KNOWLEDGE AND TRAINING REQUIRED AT TIME OF HIRE: Knowledge of the Principles and Practices of food preparation, meal service, cooking safety and sanitation. Knowledge of The Department of Health kitchen facility standards, Knowledge of Drug-Free Workplace Policies. Knowledge of Workplace Violence.

SECURITY MEASURERS AND CLEARANCE: Local background clearance required

Qualifications:

• Pass pre-employment drug screen
• Food Safe certificate required
• Minimum of a food certificate from an accredited Culinary Institute preferred
