Group Fitness Instructor – Strength Coach
Location: Royal Training Club – Del Mar, San Diego, CA
Job Type: Part-Time
Pay: $35.00 – $60.00 per hour (based on class size experience)

Who We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking a passionate, experienced, and knowledgeable Group Strength Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate is confident leading strength-based group classes, understands intelligent program design, and knows how to meet people where they’re at, while helping them level up. You bring the energy, professionalism, and presence to command a room, along with the empathy and skill to coach both beginners and seasoned athletes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead dynamic, strength-based group classes rooted in proper form, progression, and safety.
- Provide real-time coaching, modifications, and corrections to ensure effective and inclusive movement for all levels.
- Foster an upbeat, welcoming, and empowering class environment that keeps members engaged and coming back.
- Educate members on technique, mechanics, body awareness, and long-term strength development.
- Stay current on evidence-based training approaches and contribute to the evolution of our programming.
- Support our studio culture by being a team player and showing up for our community—on and off the floor.
Requirements:
- Current certification in personal training or group fitness (NASM, ACE, NSCA, ACSM, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, and functional movement patterns
- Previous experience coaching group fitness or small-group training (1 year minimum required)
- Exceptional cueing and communication skills
- Ability to lead a class with energy, authority, and care
- Availability for morning or evening shifts (weekends a plus)
- Must be reliable, punctual, and professional
- Passion for strength training, community, and building a culture of empowerment

Commute/Relocation: Must be able to reliably commute to Del Mar.
