Job Requirements:
- Valid Washington State Certificate with appropriate endorsement

Qualifications:
- Position will require the ability to teach the EL Achieve curriculum 5 periods a day, experience teaching 6th grade EL Achieve preferred
- Successful and recent intermediate teaching/student teaching experience.
- Experience and/or training working with diverse learning capabilities ranging from special education through gifted including at-risk students.
- Ability to successfully prepare students for Smarter Balanced assessment at the intermediate school level.
- Preference will be given to candidates with team environment experience.
- Demonstrated interest, commitment, and ability to work positively with students at the intermediate school level.
- Demonstrated positive interactions with students at the intermediate school level.
- Demonstrated ability to positively contribute to decision-making in collaboration with administrators and other staff members.
- Ability to analyze instructional practices through regular and ongoing observations and dialogues associated with mentoring and coaching.
- Experience using Common Core State Standards and the use of technology in the classroom.
- Must be familiar with the PLC model of collaborating.
- Must be familiar with Constructing Meaning strategies.
- Experience interpreting data from: DIBELS, iReady and program assessments to make instructional and student placement decisions.
- Knowledge of Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS).
- Must be available to attend all field trips and/or the annual camping trip
- ELL Endorsement Preferred
Terms of Employment:
Starting Date: 2026-2027 School Year
Salary: $56,858-$118,240 Based on Education and Experience, 2026-2027 REA Salary Schedule
180 days/year.
