Car Wash Site Maintenance Crew Member
Do you enjoy working outdoors and keeping things running smoothly? Our busy self-serve and in-bay automatic car wash site is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Site Maintenance Crew Member.
About the Role:
As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for ensuring our car wash facility is clean, well-maintained, and operating at peak performance. Your tasks will include a variety of duties to keep our site looking its best and our equipment in excellent working order.
Responsibilities:
- Site Cleanliness: Maintaining the overall cleanliness of the car wash premises, including emptying trash cans, sweeping and blowing walkways, and ensuring the customer areas are tidy.
- Bay Maintenance: Regularly cleaning out the wash bays, removing debris, and ensuring they are presentable for customers.
- Equipment Checks: Performing routine checks of all car wash equipment (self-serve wands, brushes, automatic wash components, payment systems) to ensure they are functioning correctly.
- Equipment Testing: Regularly testing all wash cycles and options to verify proper operation and identify any potential issues.
- Basic Maintenance: Performing quick and basic maintenance tasks such as unclogging nozzles, lubricating moving parts, and replacing simple components (training provided).
- Supply Management: Monitoring and restocking basic supplies as needed (e.g., vending refills for self-serve vending machines).
- Reporting Issues: Promptly reporting any significant equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the management team.
Qualifications:
- A strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Basic mechanical aptitude is a plus.
- Prior experience in car wash maintenance or a similar role is highly valued.
Compensation & Hours:
- Starting pay is $15 - $20 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Typical work schedule will be 20-30 hours per week, with potential for more hours based on performance and site needs.
- Higher pay and increased hours are available for candidates with prior car wash experience and demonstrated skills.
