Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager specializing in Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) properties to join our dedicated team. Duties
- Assist in managing lease agreements, renewals, and move-in/move-out processes using property management software such as Yardi and OneSite
- Ensure compliance with LIHTC regulations, Fair Housing laws, Section 8 guidelines, and other relevant legal requirements
- Coordinate property leasing activities, including conducting tours, upselling units, and processing applications with attention to detail and professionalism
- Maintain accurate data entry, filing systems, and records related to tenant information, legal documents, and maintenance requests using CMMS and office administrative tools
- Support rent collection efforts, including processing payments, handling delinquencies, and negotiating payment plans when necessary
- Assist with property maintenance coordination by communicating with vendors and tracking work orders to ensure timely resolution of issues
- Manage conflict resolution between tenants or staff by applying effective conflict management techniques and maintaining a positive customer service approach
- Prepare reports on occupancy rates, lease status, and compliance metrics for management review
Skills
- Strong knowledge of LIHTC programs, Section 8 housing regulations, Fair Housing laws, and landlord-tenant law
- Proficiency in property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, and CMMS systems for data entry and reporting
- Excellent customer service skills with professional phone etiquette and relationship management abilities
- Legal administrative experience related to contracts, lease agreements, and regulatory compliance
- Effective negotiation skills for lease renewals and conflict resolution
- Office experience with filing systems, data organization, and administrative support tasks
- Familiarity with property maintenance procedures and facilities management practices
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
