Royal Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping/Laundry Assistant to join our skilled nursing team. In this essential role, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment while ensuring residents' personal laundry and facility linens are properly cared for.
Responsibilities
- Follow established housekeeping and laundry procedures to maintain a clean and organized facility
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute facility linens and residents' personal laundry
- Place soiled linens in washing machines and follow proper infection control procedures
- Fold, hang, and return residents' personal clothing to closets and drawers
- Clean resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas
- Operate housekeeping and laundry equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain housekeeping supplies and report equipment or maintenance concerns
- Follow all facility safety, sanitation, and infection control policies
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, or environmental services experience preferred
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment, materials, and laundry procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be at least 18 years of age
