Automotive Service Consultant/Advisor
We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Automotive Service Consultant/Advisor to join our team. The Service Advisor serves as the primary point of contact between customers and our service technicians, ensuring a smooth, professional, and positive service experience from check-in through vehicle delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and accurately document vehicle concerns and service needs.
- Conduct vehicle walk-arounds and identify recommended maintenance or repairs.
- Prepare accurate repair orders, estimates, and invoices.
- Communicate repair recommendations, pricing, and timelines clearly to customers.
- Coordinate with technicians and the service department to maintain workflow.
- Keep customers informed of vehicle status and any changes to the original estimate.
- Obtain customer authorization for additional repairs.
- Review completed work with customers and explain services performed.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and encourage repeat business.
- Follow dealership/shop procedures and manufacturer service guidelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
Qualifications
- Previous automotive service advisor, service writer, or related experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair.
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and computer skills.
- Ability to explain automotive repairs in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
