AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE MANAGER

We are a premier, fast-growing, family-owned and operated automotive dealership in Royal Oak, Michigan, seeking a proven leader to oversee our service department, maximize productivity, develop our team, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead Your Team: Recruit, train, coach, and motivate service advisors, technicians, and support staff.
• Drive Profitability: Maximize shop productivity, technician efficiency, labor sales, and overall department performance.
• Deliver Customer Satisfaction: Build customer loyalty, resolve concerns, and ensure quality repairs.
• Manage Daily Operations: Oversee shop scheduling, workflow, technician productivity, and department efficiency.
• Coordinate with Parts: Work closely with the Parts Manager to minimize downtime and keep repairs moving.
• Maintain Compliance: Ensure manufacturer warranty guidelines, OSHA standards, and dealership policies are followed.
• Track Performance: Monitor department KPIs, financial performance, and operational goals.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Minimum 3–5 years of Automotive Service Manager or Assistant Service Manager experience in a dealership.
• Proven ability to lead technicians, service advisors, and support personnel.
• Strong understanding of fixed operations, flat-rate productivity, and service department profitability.
• Experience with CDK and DealerFX preferred.
• ASE certifications or manufacturer-specific training are a plus.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
