SUMMARY:

To accurately ship and receive daily deliveries and material in a timely manner.

REPORTS TO: Warehouse Manager/Location Manager

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• California Driver’s License (Required)
• Use a handheld scanner
• Do basic math
• Use a pallet jack and/or forklift
• Team player

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Warehouse environment and outdoor conditions including sometimes extreme hot/cold temperatures.

COMPENSATION RANGE:

The compensation range for this position is $21.00 to $24.00 hourly depending on experience.

OTHER COMPENSATION:

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Pick orders for customers to be delivered or will called
• Organize warehouse material
• Stage Pallets
• Receive inbound shipments including some forklift duties
• Deliver, or pick up, merchandise to, or from, our customers and suppliers in a prompt, efficient and professional manner.
• Make sure every delivery is signed for, and the signature is legible, and every pick up is authorized.
• Advise Warehouse Manager of any mechanical problems with the company truck.
• The driver is responsible for overall safety of the vehicle he/she is driving.
• Unload delivery trucks
• Make sure no damaged items are received
• Compare packing lists to purchase orders and ensure that the products in each delivery match the packing list
• Put stock away on shelves or in designated stock put away areas
• Delivering Merchandise
• Correctly place material on our warehouse shelves
• Accurately place material with its sales register
• Conduct cycle counts and participate in inventory functions
• Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle, and have a driving record that meets the company standards.
• Ability to perform daily inspection and maintenance on company vehicle
• Ability to manually lift heavy boxes (minimum of 70 lbs.) of stock from shelves in warehouse, including reaching, lifting overhead, stooping down, crouching and climbing ladders.
• Ability to pull stock from, and to stock, conduit racks in warehouse or yard.
• Ability to load and unload trucks from ground level or platform.
• Ability to safely operate materials handling equipment (forklift, pallet jacks, etc.) and wire measuring equipment.
• Ability to read a map and plan the routing of delivery trucks.
• Ability to count bundles, boxes, reels, coils, and pallets.
• Ability to deliver, or pick up, merchandise to, or from, our customers and suppliers in a prompt, efficient and professional manner.
• Ability to comprehend, read, and to communicate the English language orally and in writing.
