Royal ISD Summer School Clinic Support Internal Job Posting Summer 2026
Royal ISD is seeking qualified internal applicants to support student health and campus clinic operations during the Summer 2026 Summer School Program. This posting is for clinic support staff who will assist in meeting student and campus health needs at both the high school and elementary summer school sites.
Program Dates
- Staff PD and Work Days: May 27–28, 2026
- Student Instruction: Monday–Thursday, June 1–25, 2026
Available Positions
- 1 Nurse
- 1 Clinic Aide
These positions will rotate between Royal High School and Royal Prairie Elementary to provide coverage and support based on student and campus needs throughout the summer program. The Clinic Aide will work directly under the supervision of the Nurse and will assist with clinic operations and student health support as assigned.
Primary Purpose
To support the health and wellness needs of students and staff participating in the summer school program by providing clinic services, responding to routine student health concerns, and assisting campuses in maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment.
Qualifications
Nurse
- Valid licensure as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse
- Experience in school health services
- Knowledge of student health procedures, medication administration, and emergency response practices
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents
Clinic Aide
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience working in a school or student-support setting
- Ability to assist with clinic documentation, student care support, and daily clinic needs
- Ability to work under the direct supervision of the nurse
Expectations
Selected staff members will be expected to:
- Provide clinic support and health services for summer school students and staff
- Rotate between Royal High School and Royal Prairie Elementary based on program needs
- Respond appropriately to student illness, injury, and health-related concerns
- Maintain accurate clinic documentation and follow district procedures
- Support medication processes and health protocols in accordance with district guidelines
- Work collaboratively with campus and district staff to support student needs
- Follow all Royal ISD expectations, board policies, and summer school procedures
