Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Safely operate sit-down, stand up, reach trucks, or pallet jacks to transport goods between receiving, storage, and shipping areas.
- Loading and Unloading: Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers/containers, securing, shrink-wrapping pallets to prevent damage during transit.
- Inventory Control: Accurately pick orders, rotate stock, track merchandise using RF scanners or Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Safety Compliance: Conduct OSHA-required daily equipment checks. Report hazards immediately and maintain a clean, hazard free work zone.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic upkeep and escalate mechanical issues.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 1 years of proven warehouse or heavy machinery (forklift) operating experience.
- Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication. Excellent hand-eye coordination. Basic math/computer skills.
- CWC: Operators usually work in a busy, fast paced distribution or fulfillment centers.
- Shifts: Shifts may include nights, weekends, and overtime occasionally to meet delivery demands.
- Able to lift 50lbs unassisted.
- Sit, stand, crouch or bend for extended periods of time.
