Key Responsibilities
Alarm Response Duties (Specialized)
- Respond to dispatched alarm calls within designated timeframes.
- Perform site checks to verify alarms and identify potential breaches.
- Secure premises after alarm events (lock doors, reset systems, etc.).
- Maintain communication with dispatch throughout the response process.
- Complete detailed incident and alarm response reports.
- Be available for on-call or rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
- Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid security guard license (as required by state/local regulations).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer and report-writing skills.Work Environment & Schedule
- CompensationAlarm Response Compensation StructureOfficers are compensated based on response time to dispatched alarm calls:
- Flexible shifts, including evenings, overnight, weekends, and holidays.
- Combination of mobile patrol and on-site security duties.
- Fast-paced environment requiring quick response times and strong situational awareness.
- $100 for responses within 30 minutes
- $75 for responses within 31–45 minutes
- $50 for responses within 46–75 minutes
In some cases, officers may be required to remain on-site following an alarm response. If the time on-site exceeds a designated threshold, compensation will transition to an hourly rate for the duration of the extended assignment.
