Santa Express Elf Job Description
Reports To: On Board Leader
FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Summary:
Engage with and serve guests during Santa Express departures. Engaging with guests includes leading Christmas songs, giving attention to every guest, dancing and playing games. The Elves have a huge impact on the guests' experience during Santa Express departures.
Essential Functions
· Warmly greets and acknowledges guests upon arrival
· Entertain guests with Christmas songs, games, dances and interactions
· Serve hot chocolate and cookies to guests during their experience
· Accompany the Santa Claus during the departure
· Polishes/rolls silverware used for service
· Cleans, stocks, and maintains the workstations throughout shift
· Complete cleaning tasks on board during, between and after departures
· Follows all safety and sanitation policies and procedures
· Performs additional responsibilities as directed by management
Education/Minimum Requirements
· High school diploma or actively pursuing an education
Skills/Aptitudes
· Ability to read/speak/write the English language and communicate effectively and positively
· Ability to take direction and work under moderate supervision
· Ability to work in a team environment
· Ability to work quickly, calmly, and effectively under pressure
· Conflict Resolution, ability to deal with unpleasant or angry customers
- Ability to speak publically and remain in character up to 2.5 hours
- Enjoys being around guests and performing
Working Conditions/Essential Job Functions
· This position will spend 95% of the time standing/walking and 5% of the time sitting
· Position requires ability to bend, twist, make repetitive motions, use hands to hold and carry items/trays, kneel, reach, push and pull
· This position requires the ability to work/move safely on a moving train
· Must be able to lift and carry up to 15 lbs
· Direct contact with guests, managers, and co-workers
· Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, snow, rain and water
