Royal Gardens Apartments is an established 240 unit complex in the South End area. We are looking to hire an experienced Maintenance technician to join our maintenance team.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Should possess a high school degree, or graduate equivalency degree, or experience related to facility maintenance
- Should hold a valid driver’s license
- Ability to carry out work assignments with out direct presence of the supervisor
- Ability to work effectively with other facility and maintenance technicians, property manager and others
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for understanding directives and for maintenance problem solving
DUTIES OF THE MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance and housekeeping functions including preventive maintenance and repair of the buildings and equipment as well as responsible for the grounds of the property. More specifically the Maintenance Technician/Groundskeeper shall:
- Receive and complete work order requests timely and completely within time frames as established by Property Manager
- Implement and perform preventative maintenance plan as developed by Property Manager
- Complete apartment unit turns within a set time frame completing needed repairs as directed by the Property Manager.
- Treat the residents and other staff members with respect and courtesy.
- Provide information for the Property Manager for determination of whether repairs are normal wear and tear or responsibility of the tenant.
- Complete information for maintenance work order request to permit tracking of specific repairs and problems for maintenance planning.
- Clean trash areas and sanitize on a regular basis as needed. Grounds must be kept up on a daily basis.
- Remove snow and salt as needed
- Participate in a "On call" rotation. This is a mandatory part of the position.
- Complete pest control inspections bi monthly.

This position may float between our three properties at times when needed.
Salary: $17-22 per hour dependent upon experience
Experience:
- Maintenance technician: 1 year (Preferred)
- HVAC or Plumbing experience (Preferred)
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
License:
- EPA Universal Certification (Preferred)

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
