Position Summary:
The Golf Course Halfway House Attendant is responsible for providing friendly, efficient food and beverage service to members and guests at the Cabana/Halfway House. This seasonal position plays an important role in enhancing the member experience by maintaining a well-stocked Cabana, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring responsible alcohol service at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve beverages, including beer, wine, and premixed cocktails, in accordance with Illinois liquor laws
- Prepare and serve light food items such as grilled items and snacks
- Restock beverages, snacks, condiments, and supplies throughout the day
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area, including counters, equipment, and outdoor seating areas
- Operate the pointofsale system and handle transactions accurately
- Monitor inventory and communicate restocking needs
- Follow opening and closing procedures
- Work independently and proactively—anticipate needs and take initiative
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old and eligible to serve alcohol in the state of Illinois
- Prior food service or bartending experience preferred
- Friendly, positive, and professional demeanor
- Excellent attention to cleanliness and detail
- Selfmotivated and able to work without direct supervision
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Reliable transportation and ability to work evenings and weekends
