Human Resources Generalist

Location: Ringgold, GA

We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to support the day-to-day HR needs of our operation in Ringgold. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being embedded in the business, working directly with employees and managers, and helping leadership stay ahead of workplace issues before they grow into larger problems. The right person for this role is practical, observant, and confident handling employee situations as they arise. This is a hands-on HR role with exposure to the full range of HR responsibilities including employee relations, payroll coordination, onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR resource for employees and supervisors, answering questions and providing guidance on company policies and workplace issues.

• Maintain a strong presence within the operation, building relationships with employees and identifying potential concerns early.

• Support the payroll process by ensuring employee changes, hires, terminations, and status updates are accurate each payroll cycle.

• Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes and ensure all required documentation is completed and maintained properly.

• Maintain employee records and HR documentation in compliance with company policy and employment regulations.

• Assist with recruiting coordination and new hire preparation as needed.

Qualifications

• Approximately 3-5 years of HR experience, ideally in a generalist role supporting an operational workforce.

• SHRM Certified is a plus

• Strong judgment and the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion.

• Comfortable working independently and managing multiple HR responsibilities.

• Experience with HRIS systems and payroll coordination.
