About Us:
Royal Farewells provides gentle, in-home euthanasia and aftercare services for families who want their pets to pass peacefully at home. We are expanding into Fairfield County and are looking for a compassionate, reliable veterinarian to join our team under a part-time, contract-based partnership model.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a veterinarian with excellent communication skills, emotional intelligence, and confidence in end-of-life medicine. This role involves traveling to clients’ homes in Fairfield County to provide compassionate euthanasia services and supporting families through one of the most difficult moments of pet ownership.
This is a 1099 contract position with a flexible schedule — perfect for someone seeking supplemental income, reduced clinical hours, or more work-life balance. You choose your availability.
What You’ll Do:
- Perform gentle, in-home euthanasia appointments
- Guide families through the process with empathy and clarity
- Provide basic hospice-style guidance when appropriate
- Coordinate with our team for cremation arrangements and logistics
- Maintain accurate medical records for each visit
- Represent Royal Farewells with professionalism, compassion, and composure

Compensation:

Requirements:
- DVM or equivalent degree
- Connecticut veterinary license in good standing
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Comfort with end-of-life care, excellent bedside manner
- Ability to work independently and travel throughout Fairfield County
- Emotional resilience and strong interpersonal communication
