Job Overview
You’ll be hands-on with a wide range of custom plastic components, using your expertise to bring challenging designs to life:
- Set up, program, and operate CNC lathes, CNC vertical mills, and gantry routers
- Build and optimize toolpaths using Autodesk Fusion (CAD/CAM)
- Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and customer drawings
- Select tooling, speeds, and feeds tailored for plastic machining
- Perform precision measurements and in‑process quality checks
- Troubleshoot Machining Challenges and fine‑tune programs or setups
- Support estimating by evaluating part complexity, machining time, and material needs
- Collaborate with leadership on manufacturability and quoting
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
What You Bring
Required:
- Strong CNC experience (lathes vertical mills)
- Proficiency with Autodesk Fusion for CAD/CAM
- Experience with gantry routers
- Ability to read engineering drawings and CAD files
- Solid understanding of G‑code and machining workflows
- Mechanical aptitude, problem‑solving skills, and a sharp eye for detail
Preferred:
- Experience machining plastics or composites
- Background in short‑run, prototype, or custom manufacturing
- Exposure to estimating or quoting
