In this role, you’ll process a variety of mortgage loan products, ensure all documentation is complete and accurate, and communicate with Members and stakeholders to keep everything on track and moving forward.

What You’ll Do:
Responsible for processing mortgage loan products including but not limited to Royal Credit Union portfolio loans, several investor loans, construction loans, government loans and Land Trust loans. Obtains and verifies necessary information and prepares documents for underwriting and closing review. Communicates loan status to all involved parties including Member, Mortgage Loan Officer, buyer, seller, realtor, and title company representatives.

• Compensation: $22.04 - $24.68 (candidates with significant related experience may be higher)

What’s Needed For This Position:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Two years in a Mortgage Loan Related Role or one year experience in HELOC Processing
• NMLS Certification
• Must be bondable upon hire

Knowledge, Skills and Competencies::

• Deep understanding of federal and state regulations including Bank Secrecy Act, CTR, and SAR, along with financial services and basic accounting principles.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assess complex loan files, calculate income (including self-employment), and resolve underwriting conditions.
• Exceptional organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple deadlines, shifting priorities, and high-volume environments with accuracy.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact effectively with Members, Mortgage Loan Officers, and external partners.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital tools, with the ability to learn new technologies and perform routine tasks independently and collaboratively.

We’d Love To See:

• Experience working in a Mortgage Loan Processing Department

Work Schedule:

• Full-time, working approximately 40 hours per week. Hours and shifts vary between 8:30am-5:00pm Monday through Friday with additional hours, as needed.

Training:

• Prior to starting a normal work schedule, new Royal team members must attend Foundation Training at our Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI from 9:00am - 4:30pm on Monday and Tuesday during their first week of employment. Out of town learners will be reimbursed costs related to travel and lodging.
• Foundation Training covers fundamental information about Royal’s culture and core values which sets the stage for team members to be successful within our organization.
