A young person in Princeton, NJ is looking for a Direct Support Professional/ DSP to assist them and be a companion/mentor for a variety of fun activities that include, but are not limited to bowling, working out at the gym, and visiting local places in Princeton. This position is all about networking and assisting someone create connections in the community.
The Ideal Direct Support Professional/ DSP is to report to the individual and would be someone who is community minded and understands person centered supports. It’s not required, but is definitely a plus if you know the area in and around Princeton. If you’re looking for a fun part time position where you can make a huge difference in someone’s life, this may be the position you’ve been looking for.
This position does not start until September.
Schedule of Services:
10-20 hours per week – flexible hours for the right person
Pay rate: $22 per hour
Qualifications:
Must be able to recognize that disability is a label and not a description
Must be person centered minded
Staff need to be open minded and come with a positive attitude
Staff must remember that you are working for a person and not a label
Must be 18 years old or older
Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent
Must have a car
Must have valid driver's license and good driving record
Must be willing to have a background check
Must be willing to take a drug screening
Must be authorized to legally work in the United States
Salary : $22
