Loan Processing Assistant

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for assembling loan files including data entry and stacking for submission. Assist loan processors with appraisal orders, credit orders, and other internal process and obtain information needed to complete a file for approval and closing; Complies with all regulations which apply within the scope of the position, including Bank Secrecy Act.

DUTIES

• Assist loan processors with communication with borrowers, underwriters, loan officers and mortgage brokers to assemble file for loan submission.
• Run OFAC, customer search in bank’s CORE system on borrowers and NMLS search on mortgage brokers.
• Order appraisal reports/updates to AMC and deliver to borrowers in a timely manner.
• Order verification of employments, verification of deposits, verification or rent and/or mortgage.
• Order credit reports and assist loan processors to prepare initial disclosures and revised disclosures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent; AA degree preferred
• EXPERIENCE: Minimum 0-1 year of mortgage loan processing experience or banking experience

SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Computer literate;
• effective verbal and written communication skills;
• excellent time management and organizational skills;
• bilingual (English/Mandarin) preferred
