Responsibilities
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently to process transactions accurately and quickly
- Greet customers warmly, providing excellent customer service and addressing inquiries with professionalism
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement and sales
- Assist with merchandising by organizing displays, restocking shelves, and ensuring products are attractively presented
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with accuracy and integrity
- Support stocking activities by unloading deliveries, organizing inventory, and maintaining stock levels on the sales floor
- Promote upselling opportunities to increase sales while respecting customer preferences
- Maintain phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth store operations and exceptional customer experiences
- Support bilingual customers by providing clear assistance in multiple languages when needed
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in grocery stores or similar environments
- Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures is highly desirable
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
- Experience conducting product demos or engaging customers through active selling techniques
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a valuable asset
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and managing retail math calculations
- Knowledge of merchandising standards and stocking procedures to keep the store organized and inviting
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to foster positive interactions with shoppers
