Duties
- Greet guests warmly with genuine enthusiasm and assist them with seating arrangements
- Manage reservations efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Maintain a clean and organized host stand, ensuring a welcoming first impression
- Answer phone inquiries professionally, providing accurate information about wait times and reservations
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and guest satisfaction
- Handle guest inquiries or concerns courteously, escalating issues when necessary to ensure guest happiness
- Support guest relations by providing exceptional service that encourages repeat visits
Requirements
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with guests and team members
- Experience with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Excellent phone etiquette and guest relations skills to handle inquiries professionally
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Hospitality or hotel experience is advantageous but not mandatory; eagerness to learn is key
