Growing hospitality branding and interior design firm seeks a Senior Designer to lead design execution across projects in close partnership with the Creative Director. We are loved by chefs and trusted by restaurateurs—join us in shaping our most ambitious work to date.
We are seeking candidates based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
About You
- A Bay Area–based designer with 6–10 years of experience in interior design or architecture, with a strong portfolio of built hospitality projects
- You bring a clear design point of view and the ability to translate design concepts into cohesive, buildable environments
- You are confident making design decisions that balance design intent, budget, and real-world constraints
- You are highly fluent in materials, detailing, FF&E, and documentation, and understand how these shape the final guest experience
- You are comfortable leading and directing technical teammates, guiding their work to achieve the level of nuance and precision required for high-quality design execution
- You are a strong mentor and team leader, able to guide junior designers and support their growth
- You are collaborative, proactive, and decisive—comfortable working across teams and with clients
- You are energized by the full lifecycle of a project, from concept through installation, and take pride in the final built result
ResponsibilitiesDesign Leadership
- Lead design development from concept through documentation in partnership with the Creative Director and studio management.
- Translate creative direction into clear, actionable design systems across materials, spatial strategy, and detailing
- Ability to guide iteration on design ideas and respond thoughtfully to to client feedback
- Oversee the creation of presentations, finish palettes, and FF&E selections, ensuring a cohesive design narrative
Documentation & Technical Oversight
- Direct and contribute to drawing sets and construction documentation, ensuring clarity, quality, and alignment with design intent
- Lead design development within a Revit-based workflow, guiding how projects are built, detailed, and communicated
- Oversee and collaborate closely with the Technical Architect/Designer, providing direction, feedback, and redlines
- Guide nuanced decisions around custom details, material transitions, and FF&E integration
- Maintain a high standard of design integrity and constructability across all deliverables
Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor junior designers and project coordinators, supporting their growth and increasing autonomy
- Delegate effectively while maintaining oversight of key design decisions and outputs
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and design-driven studio culture
Collaboration & Project Alignment
- Partner closely with the Construction Project Manager to ensure design intent is carried through construction
- Provide design input on RFIs, submittals, and substitutions as needed during construction phases
- Participate in client presentations and consultant coordination, clearly communicating design decisions
- Support key site visits and installations to validate design execution
Studio Leadership & Growth
- Partner with the Creative Director and Managing Directors to shape and elevate the studio’s design standards
- Help refine internal workflows, documentation practices, and team processes
- Contribute to a collaborative, high-performing studio culture
- Support team development through mentorship and knowledge sharing
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field
- 6–10 years of experience, with hospitality experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Google Suite, Revit, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong knowledge of construction documentation, detailing, and material systems
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Highly organized, proactive, and solution-oriented
Additional Skills
- Ability to travel to project sites and support key installation phases
- Comfortable engaging in on-site design decision-making when needed

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $60.00 - $120.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
