Company Purpose/Mission:
Roy Maas Youth Alternatives (RMYA) creates brighter futures for children in crisis by promoting individual success and healthy relationships in a safe, healing environment, giving children and families the tools to end the cycle of abuse. RMYA provides treatment programs for traumatized children who most often are victims of sexual, physical, and/or emotional abuse. RMYA supports using trauma-informed techniques and relationship-based approaches to create a safe environment that provides consistency, structure, and caring for the children we serve.
Job Summary:
The Clinician III will be responsible for providing individual counseling, family counseling, and group counseling therapy for the clients of the Counseling and Resource Center as well as the clients of RMYA programs. The Clinician III will conduct assessments and is responsible for the development and implementation of therapeutic treatment plans for the clients. Clinician III will also assist with the clinical milieu to include interns for the emergency shelter, Turning Point, or Meadowland, as necessary. The Clinician III is required to be on-call for the programs of RMYA on a scheduled, rotating basis.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Administration:
- Support the residential admission process in the assigned residential milieu.
- Attend clinical staffing on clients to ensure clinically pertinent care is being provided to the clients.
- Maintain constant communication with family members and case workers and provide updates as needed.
- Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of client tracking and status reports for monthly review/audit by Lead/Master Clinician or Clinic Administrator.
- Prepare and monitor treatment plans, diagnostic assessments, service plans, and progress reports.
Program Management:
- Provide therapeutic treatment interventions for clients.
- Provide on-going counseling; seek case consultations, and/or crisis interventions.
- Completion of all treatment/service plans for clients.
- Provide training to employees of RMYA.
- Ensure quality therapeutic interventions are being provided, following up with referral sources are being done, aftercare and discharge planning is being done, and all is in compliance with RMYA policies and procedures.
- Maintain therapeutic services within RMYA, licensing, and funding source guidelines.
- Work directly with the Lead/Master Clinician and program staff to ensure effective and safe therapeutic practices are being provided at all times.
Relationships and Collaboration:
- Provide indirect guidance to direct care staff regarding clinical programming and treatment expectations.
- Work at the direction of the Treatment Team to document each assigned resident’s STAR plan and discharge plan/goals.
- Maintain professional and ethical standards as prescribed by RMYA and the professional code of ethics for your license.
- Maintain professional licensure and certifications; attend and participate in all required professional training, workshops and or continuing education.
- Maintain confidentiality in all areas of client and program operations.
- Represent RMYA in a professional manner at approved events in the community.
- Perform special projects as assigned.
- Be supportive of all RMYA policies and procedures.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in counseling, social work, or psychology is required.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years post licensure experience.
- Certification/Licenses: Minimum 3-year post-licensure experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC/LPC-S), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Sex Offender Treatment Provider (LSOTP). Must have active and complete Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare (CAQH) credentialing application and must be currently enrollment in various insurance panels; including but not limited to TMHP, Cenpatico and/or Community First. Valid Texas driver’s license or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire. Must have and maintain acceptable driving record.

- Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Constant reading, writing, and typing; frequent walking and standing; occasional bending, squatting, arm, and wrist rotation, reaching, gripping, twisting, climbing stairs, driving; some physical interventions with distressed youth.
- Work Environment: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Shifts in environmental conditions i.e., hot, cold, outdoor, indoor, noise. Fast-pace work using sensory demands i.e., hearing, vision, speech; dealing with multiple, repetitive tasks, working under pressure and deadlines, and confrontational situations. May be requested to work overtime and weekends for special program events.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance Requirements:
Successful clearance of Department of Family and Protective Services licensing background checks, (to include fingerprinting and drug testing) and maintenance of status providing ability to be present at an operation.
