Maintenance Technician Field Supervisor

Position summary: Roy Jorgensen Associates, Inc. is currently seeking a full-time, Maintenance Technician Field Supervisor. They will perform maintenance operations in the Waco, Texas area. This position requires performing a variety of tasks related to highway maintenance, debris removal, sign and guardrail repair, bridge rail, concrete repair, etc. as well as adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Jorgensen Company policies and procedures.

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
• Roadway maintenance experience
• Concrete forming/repair experience
• Wheel Loader, Skid steer, Forklift, Asphalt Roller, etc operator
  
  

Preferred Experience

• Roadway maintenance experience
• MOT Certifications (traffic control)
• Clean driving record is essential
• Must pass criminal background check
• CDL License a plus
• Small engine trouble shooting and problem solving experience
• Spanish/English bilingual (written and spoken)
  
  

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Maintain company standards for background checks (i.e. criminal record, driving record and controlled substance/drug testing)
• Knowledge of local driving rules and regulations
• Carry out simple arithmetic functions
• Maintain proper safety equipment required for each job
• Knowledge and ability to adapt to the latest technology
• Ability to use smart phone and applications
• Ability to adjust to changing work schedule
• Ability to work safely under ranging environmental and weather conditions
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly while twisting; other strenuous manual labor may be required
• Ability to operate hand/power tools
  
  

Schedule: Full time; Monday - Friday, day/night shifts dependent upon work load, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm and/or 5:00 pm - 6:00 am, night work as/when needed, and weekend work as/when needed. Must be able to work in weather emergencies and be flexible to work other hours according to project and client requests. Will be required to answer and/or respond to calls from the client which will require the dispatching of employees as/if needed with possibility of a supervisory response also.
